REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation & Restriction of Chemicals) became law on 1st June 2007. Substances produced or imported in quantities above 1 tonne per year, have to be registered at the new European Chemicals Agency (EChA) in Helsinki
Pre registration of chemicals is currently taking place; this phase commenced 1st June 2008 and will close on 1st December 2008. |
